Chief Ministers Of Haryana

Chief Minister

In the Republic of India, a Chief Minister is the Head of Government of each state and Union Territory. According to the Constitution of India, at the state-level, the Governor head, but factually Executive Authority rests with the Chief Minister.

A Chief Minister is elected by the Legislatures of the political party or coalition commanding an assembly majority and serves a five year term with a provision of re-election. According to the Constitution of India, the Chief Minister takes the oath by the Governor, who is the Appointing Authority.
